A HISTORY OF PREVIOUS TIMES…
It is a story that spans three centuries and four generations.
It is a story worth telling.
It was the end of 1800 when Rosa Orrù and Giuseppe Schirru, as wealthy landowners and cattle breeders, built their home in the village of Orroli.
It was Mrs. Rosa who donated the property to her godson, Paolino Schirru, starting a family tradition that has been handed down from generation to generation.
Paolino Schirru in turn bequeathed the house to his daughter Rosa Maria, the true link between the past and the present of the family.
As Mrs. Rosa did at the beginning of the last century, Rosa Maria, a hundred years later
chose to entrust the management of the house to her godson, Paolo Schirru.
The name Sa Pardina, which in the Sardinian language means “the godmother” is, therefore, a double homage to the one who started this special tradition and to the one who today contributes to passing it on.
Because of its unique history, Sa Pardina is much more than a simple Bed and Breakfast.
Warmly welcoming our guests is our treasured task.
Passing on the history of the house and contributing to the spread of traditions by telling of the truest natures of Orroli and Sarcidano is our mission and passion.
